Quality Specifications (GB/T 7744‑2023)
For Class I (high‑purity grade):
· HF content (mass fraction): ≥ 40.0% for HF‑I, ≥ 55.0% for HF‑I, ≥ 70.0% for HF‑I
· Non‑volatile acid (as H₂SO₄): ≤ 0.05%, 0.08%, and 0.08% respectively
· Fluorosilicic acid (H₂SiF₆): ≤ 0.02% for all three grades
· Residue on ignition: ≤ 0.05% for all three grades
For Class II (industrial grade):
· HF content (mass fraction): ≥ 30.0%, 40.0%, 50.0%, and 55.0% for HF‑II grades
· Non‑volatile acid (as H₂SO₄): ≤ 1.0%, 1.0%, 2.0%, and 2.0% respectively
· Fluorosilicic acid (H₂SiF₆): ≤ 2.5%, 5.0%, 8.0%, and 10.0% respectively
· Residue on ignition: not specified
Note: The actual HF content can be tailored between 35% and 70% upon request.
Main Applications
· Production of fluoride salts
· Glass etching and frosting
· Metal cleaning and pickling (stainless steel, titanium alloys, etc.)
· Surface treatment in electronics and photovoltaic industries (silicon wafer cleaning)
Handling & Transport
· Store in a cool, ventilated warehouse, away from alkalis and active metal powders.
· Use corrosion‑resistant containers (polyethylene or lined drums) with secure sealing.
· Classified as Class 8 corrosive substance – comply with dangerous goods regulations during shipping to prevent leakage.
