NovoCool R32 (Difluoromethane) is a next-generation HFC refrigerant from the NovoCool brand, widely adopted as a low-GWP alternative to R410A in residential and light commercial air conditioning systems. It is a colorless gas with a faint ethereal odor, offering excellent energy efficiency, high cooling capacity, and no temperature glide (it behaves like a pure fluid).
As part of the NovoCool product line, this refrigerant is manufactured under strict quality control standards, ensuring consistent purity and performance for your critical cooling systems. R32 is increasingly becoming the refrigerant of choice for new air conditioning equipment, delivering superior thermodynamic performance while significantly reducing environmental impact compared to traditional HFC refrigerants. In 2019, R32 systems already made up 71% of the market for small pre-charged AC units, up from effectively zero in 2013.
⚠️ Important Safety Note: R32 is classified as A2L (mildly flammable) under ASHRAE safety standards. It requires proper handling and should only be used in systems designed for A2L refrigerants. R32 is NOT suitable for retrofitting into R410A or R22 systems without appropriate safety modifications.

ℹ️ Note: R32 offers higher volumetric cooling capacity than R410A, with up to 30% lower charge volume depending on system design. It also has higher thermal conductivity and faster cooling response compared to R410A. The effective GWP reduction compared to R410A is approximately 75%. For new equipment, we recommend consulting the manufacturer’s guidelines to identify the most suitable refrigerant.
